Entries: It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to confirm all online entries with the Entry Clerk; the club will not be responsible for misdirected entries. Per show rule 6.21 each entry must be accompanied by the stipulated entry fee. All online/fax entries must be paid in full within 10 days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first. No substitutions after the closing date. No refunds after the entry clerk has confirmed your entry or for failure to bench. Make checks payable to AHL (America’s Heartland). Odd numbered entries with ANY size Security cage requires the purchase of an extra 1/2 cage space.
Scoring: All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with an Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of novices can contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number. Kittens may be entered without registration numbers, but will not be scored for CFA awards if a number is not provided at show time. Kittens without a registration number or TRN will not be included in the count.
Show Hall: Illinois State Fairgrounds, Illinois Building, 801 E. Sangamon Avenue, Springfield, IL 62702 Ph: 217-782-6661. The show hall is handicapped accessible, non-smoking and air-conditioned. Parking is free. Enter the Fairgrounds through Gate 1 or 12 off of Sangamon Avenue.
Check in & Show Hours: Check-in Saturday 8-9:30 am. Judging will begin at 10 am on Saturday and at 9 am on Sunday. Advertized hours are 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday and 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
Hotel Info: Hotel space fills up quickly in Springfield. Please get your reservations in early. Baymont Inn & Suites, Microtel Inn & Suites, Quality Inn, Super 8, LaQuinta Inn & Suites, Red Roof, Days Inn, Sleep Inn and Holiday Inn Express all offer pet friendly lodgings. Airport: Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield (SPI). Lambert St. Louis Airport (STL) is about 1-3/4 hours away.
Cages: A single cage measures 21" x 21" x 21", a double cage measures 21" x 21" x 42". Bring litter pans & food, litter is provided.
Rules: This shows will be conducted under current CFA rules. Rules are $7 from CFA, 260 East Main St. Alliance, OH 44601.
Health: It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All cats/kittens must have all claws clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition.
Liability: America's Heartland will take reasonable care to safeguard property of exhibitors. Neither the club, its members or the Illinois State Fairgrounds will be liable for loss or damage. No guard will be on duty Saturday night, cats must be removed from show hall during the evening.
