Goodies for our Household Pets include ribbons, trophies, and possibly certificates (suitable for framing). The Best HHP & Best HHP Kitten will receive a very nice goody basket. The BEST HHP IN SHOW will receive a beautiful trophy to take home! Exhibitors and spectators are encouraged to vote for their favorite cat in show. The winner will receive a very nice goody basket.
Breed Summary ENTRIES: No refunds or substitutions may be made after closing date. No refunds will be given for failure to bench. Email Entry Clerk to confirm receipt of online/fax entries. Use of ANY size security cage with a single will require purchase of an extra 1/2 cage space. End of row is free to handicapped exhibitors (must request when submitting entry form). All entries include $2 CFA surcharge. No kittens under the age of four months will be allowed in show hall. Make checks payable to Birmingham Feline Fanciers. All online entries must be paid in full within 10 days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first (per CFA Show Rule 11.08a). SHOW HALL: Zamora Temple, 3521 Ratcliff Rd, Birmingham, AL 35210. The show hall is heated and air-conditioned. Free parking. Birmingham Feline Fanciers will take reasonable care of cats and property of exhibitors; however, neither the Club nor Zamora Temple are not liable for loss of property, damage, or accidents to cats or to exhibitors. No cats or kittens allowed in show hall overnight. SHOW HOURS/BENCHING: Check-in will be from 8:00 - 9:45am on Saturday. Judging will begin at 10:00am on Saturday and 9:00 am on Sunday. Show hours are 10am - 5pm Saturday and 9am - 4pm Sunday. No cats will be permitted to leave show hall before posted show hours without the consent of show management. AWARDS/SCORING: Rosettes, ribbons, and scoring will be awarded in strictly in accordance with CFA Show Rules. A copy of show rules may be obtained from CFA by sending $7.00 to The Cat Fanciers Association, 260 East Main St. Alliance, OH 44601. HOUSEHOLD PETS: All kittens must be at least four months of age. No de-clawed HHP's may be entered. Cats over eight months of age must be spayed or neutered. For more information, contact Clare Hames (contact info above) or go to the club's web site. SUPPLIES: Litter will be provided. Please bring your own litter boxes, pet food, and dishes. Single cages measure approximately 22x22x22. Exhibitors are responsible for material or cage curtains to cover the top, sides, and bottom of your cage. HEALTH AND SALES: This is a non-vetted show. All cats, kittens, and household pet entries are expected to be free from fleas, fungus, ear mites, and any contagious diseases. All entries must be vaccinated against feline distemper, rhinotracheitis, calci virus, rabies (Alabama State Law), and be tested negative for feline leukemia before entry into the show hall. The show committee reserves the right to remove any cat or kitten from the show hall if suspected of having any of the listed ailments until examined by a licensed veterinarian at the owner/agent's expense. All claws must be clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for entry. No kitten under four months of age allowed in show hall. HOTEL INFO: Available on the Club's web site.
