Entry Info: All entries must be submitted online or on an official CFA entry form, printed or typed clearly. All checks must be drawn on US banks and in US funds. NOTE: Per show rules, all entries must be paid whether in attendance or not. No refunds for failure to bench. REMINDER: It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to mail entries with plenty of time to be received by the entry clerk prior to closing. The entry clerk will not take the information over the phone. If you are using the online entry: It is each exhibitor's responsibility to email the entry clerk to be sure all your entries have been received! If you do not email the entry clerk, and receive a reply, there is no guarantee that your entries have been received! Please try to give our entry clerk a minimum of 24 hours to reply to your email. Unfortunately, her work does not always allow for an immediate response! If all else fails, please call either the entry clerk or the show manager after 24 hours. Benching requests will be honored as the benching layout allows.
This is a non-vetted show. Cats are expected to be free of fungus, fleas and infectious disease. Exhibitors are advised to have their cats vaccinated against Feline Enteritis, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, rabies and tested for FeLV prior to entry. All claws must be clipped, front and back. Cats are not allowed to remain in the show hall overnight. No smoking permitted in the show hall. Litter will be provided, please bring your own litter pans. Cage sizes are 22”x22”x22”. United Persian Society Cat Club will take reasonable care to safeguard the property of exhibitors and vendors. Neither the club, its members nor the Illinois State Fair Grounds will be liable for any loss or damage.
Check in is from 7:30-8:30 am. Judging will begin at 9am on Saturday and Sunday. Please report any transfers or absentees at check-in. Advertised closing time is 4 pm Saturday and 3 pm on Sunday.
Show Hall: Illinois Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds 801 E Sangamon Ave. Springfield, IL, 62702 Ph: 217-782-6661. The show hall is handicapped accessible. Food will be available. All cats must be removed from the show hall at the close of the show Saturday night.
Show Hotel: Holiday Inn Express 3050 S. Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, IL 62703 Ph: 217-529-7771. $89.00 per night ask for the Midwest Regional Awards Show Block.
It is advised that all entries be tested for FELV, and be inoculated by a licensed veterinarian against Feline Enteritis, Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus and Rabies before entry. Claws of all four feet must be clipped prior to benching. No declawed cats may entered. All cats must be free of fleas, fungus earmites, and any contagious illness. Show Management reserves the right to cause the removal of any cat from the show hall suspect of any of the above until a licensed veterinarian can make an examination at the exhibitor’s expense. All championship, premiership and kitten entries with registration numbers or temporary registration numbers will be scored for CFA National and Regional points. Owners of novices can contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number. This show will be conducted under current CFA rules.
CFA Info: All Championship, Premiership and registered kitten entries will be scored for CFA Regional/National awards. This show is licensed by The Cat Fanciers Association, Inc. All CFA rules will be strictly enforced. A copy of the rules may be obtained by sending $7 to CFA, 260 E. Main St. Alliance, OH 44601.
