ENTRY & PAYMENT INFO: Entries are accepted now. Entry Fees include CFA & Regional surcharges. Per show rule 6.21 each entry must be accompanied by the stipulated entry fee. All online/fax entries must be paid in full within 10 days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first. Make checks to North Texas Cat Club (both shows) ; returned check fee is $50 + all bank fees. PayPal available; send payments to nt-cc@hotmail.com No substitutions after the closing date. No refunds after the entry clerk has confirmed your entry or for failure to bench. Check your confirmation for accuracy and contact the entry clerk with any corrections BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE.
SHOW HOURS: Check-in: Saturday 7:30 – 8:30 am; Sunday 7 - 7:30 am- Show Hours: Saturday 9 am – 5 pm. Sunday 8 am to 4 pm. All entries are expected to remain in the show hall until the advertised closing time. Early departure without permission of the show manager will result in all wins being voided. Kittens and HHPs are exempt from this rule.
SHOW HALL: Convention Center Exhibition Hall A @ Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas-Mesquite 1700 Rodeo Dr. Mesquite, TX 75149. The show hall is handicapped accessible and heated & air conditioned. Smoking in not permitted in the show hall. The concession stand will have a selection of food for your enjoyment. CAKES are permitted with approval from Show Manager.
SHOW HOTEL: The Hampton Inn & Suites is adjacent to the show hall. We have a block of rooms reserved; Double/King $90 nightly, Double Suite/King Suite $110 nightly. The block will expire Sunday April 1, 2018. Reservations can be made by calling 800-HAMPTON (800-426-7866). There are also, a number of hotels and motels in the area that accept pets; LaQuinta Inn CFA discount code CATFAN9 and Motel 6 use CFA discount code OAPHHT.
FLY–INS: Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (DFW) is about 35 miles/40 minutes from the show hall. Rental cars are available at the airport through online websites, such as rental car websites or www.travelocity.com or www.orbitz.com. CFA discount codes; Budget U285933, Avis Z926291.
THIS IS A NON-VETTED SHOW It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All cats/kittens must have all claws clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition (including HHP). NO KITTENS UNDER 4 MONTHS of age will be allowed in the show hall. This show rule will be strictly enforced. Only those cats/kittens entered in the show will be allowed in the show hall.
SCORING and AWARDS: All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with an Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of novices can contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number. Kittens may be entered without registration numbers, but will not be scored for CFA awards if a number is not provided at show time. Kittens without a registration number or TRN will not be included in the count. This show is licensed by the Cat Fancier’s Association, and its show rules will be strictly enforced. A copy of CFA show rules can be obtained for $7, at 260 E. Main St., Alliance, OH 44601 or at www.cfa.org. All Miscellaneous and AOV entries must be entered with a CFA registration number.
SUPPLIES: Litter will be provided. Bring your own litter pans, cat food dishes and water dishes. Single cages are 22 x 22 x 22 and are included with your entry fees; double cages are 22 x 45 x 22. Exhibitors with a single entry using any size security cage are required to purchase an extra 1/2 cage. Bring cage curtains of your choice to cover the cage sides, back and top.
NEW EXHIBITORS may request a copy of “Helpful Hints” from CFA. Check out http://www.cfanewbee.org for helpful info. When checking in to the show please inform check in staff that you are a new exhibitor and the show committee will help you with your needs.
North Texas Cat Club, Ft. Worth Cat Club, nor Hampton Inn Convention Exhibitor Center will be liable for any loss or damage of personal property.
