OCI 5th Agility Contest
We will be using the large agility arena enclosure, 32' x 32' x7.5' high. No wild ancestry breeds allowed to enter in accordance with the CFA constitution. All entries must be benched. Ten obstacles consisting of: 4 hurdles, 2 hoops, 2 tunnels, weave obstacle with 4 poles & 1 set of stairs. Please bring your own special toys to prompt your cats through the course. Laser pens may be used but must be confined to the agility arena. Exhibitors who are entered in other competitive classes or the Cat Adoption Team cats may take practice runs but in order to have their scores tallied for the prizes, they must pay the $10 fee.

Feline Costume Contest
Top Ten Winners will be awarded. Exhibitors can use their imagination in their choice of costumes.

           
Show Hall: Memorial Coliseum - Rose Quarter Exhibit Hall 300 N Winning Way Portland, OR 97227. The Exhibit Hall is a nonsmoking facility. The hall, 25,000 sq ft, is heated, and is handicapped accessible.

Entries: Limited to 450 cats. Entries close February 2, 2009 or when the limit is reached. All entries must be signed and submitted on an official CFA form or exact facsimile. Fees must accompany entry forms. Checks must be in U.S. funds and payable to OCI. There will be a $25 service charge for returned checks. No refunds will be made once entries have been received or for failure to bench. Confirmations will be e-mailed. Mailed upon request. Please make sure that entriesNW@comcast.net is an accepted email address.

Show Rules: The show will be conducted in accordance with current CFA show rules. These may be obtained for $5.00 from CFA, P.O. Box 1005, Manasquan, NJ 08736-1005. All entries for Championship, Premiership, Provisional Breeds, and AOV classes must have their registration numbers printed in the show catalog. Entries for these classes received without registration numbers will be returned. Registered kittens may have their number added to the Master Catalog on the day of the show. Championship, Premiership, and Registered Kitten entries will be scored for CFA National and Northwest Regional Awards. Rosettes and Ribbons will be awarded according to CFA show rules.

Health: No veterinary inspection will be required prior to benching. We advise that cats be vaccinated against feline viral rhinotracheitis, feline enteritis, calici viruses, and rabies as well as testing for FeLV and FIV. Front and back claws must be clipped before benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for entry. All cats are expected to be free of fleas, mites, fungus, and infectious illnesses.

Cages: Single Cages (one provided per entry) are 21” x 21” x 21”. Double cages are 21” x 45” x 21”. No more than one adult cat or two kittens are permitted in a single cage. Security Cages, either double or single will need a double cage space. No exceptions! Three sides, the top and the bottom of the cage must be covered.

Food & Litter: Litter will be provided. Cat food will be available as donated. We suggest you bring your cat's preferred food, as well as litter pans and food and water dishes. People food will be provided by the Rose Quarter. Food and Drink are not allowed from outside the show hall.
