Check In & Show Hours: check in time is 8 – 9am on Saturday. Judging will start at 10 am Saturday and 9 am on Sunday. Advertised show hours are 10 am – 4 pm Saturday and 9 am – 4 pm on Sunday.
Show Hall: Lexington Hotel & Conference Jacksonville Riverwalk 1515 Prudential Dr. Jacksonville, FL 32207 Ph: 904-396-5100. Self-parking fee is $5 per day The show hall is airconditioned and is handicap accessible. People food will be available; the hotel has a full service restaurant offering a variety of food at reasonable prices and a “quick” food cart will be located just outside the show hall. (Rate at this hotel is $120 per night + $75 pet fee per night.)
Show Hotel: La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jacksonville Butler Blvd 4686 Lenoir Ave. South Jacksonville, FL 32216 Ph: 904-296-0703. Exhibitor rate is $84 + taxes. Pet fees have been waived. To reserve a room call the hotel and ask for the “Absolutely Abyssinians” show rate.
Airport: Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is approximately 17 miles/30 minutes from the show hall.
Show Rules: This is a CFA licensed show and all show rules will be strictly enforced. Copies of CFA Show Rules are available from CF Central Office. All ribbons and rosettes required by CFA will be awards.
Scoring: All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with a Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of cats/kittens without registration numbers can contact the entry clerk for a Temporary Registration Number.
Household Pets: All entries must be at least 4 months old; all entries 8 months or older must be neutered or spayed. Entries may not be declawed
Benching: Single opening cage size is 22"X22"X22" and is included with your entry fee. Exhibitors with a single entry using any size security cage are required to purchase an extra 1/2 cage. Please bring material to cover the sides, floor and top of your cage. Litter will be provided; please bring your own litter pans.
Health: It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All claws of all entries must be clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition.
