Sunset Feline Fanciers Entry Fees
Our Show Hall is the air-conditioned Seaside Convention Center at 415 First Ave. Seaside, OR 97138. The phone number is (503) 738-8585. It is a spacious showcase with natural light. This is a non-smoking facility. The show hall is handicapped assessable.
The show will be conducted in accordance with current CFA show rules. These may be obtained for $5 + $2 postage from CFA, 260 East Main St. Alliance, OH 44601. All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with an Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of novices can contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number. Kittens may be entered without registration numbers, but will not be scored for CFA awards if a number is not provided at show time. Kittens without a registration number or TRN will not be included in the count. Northwest Regional Awards, Rosettes and Ribbons will be awarded according to CFA rules.
It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formally known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for Fel.V before entry. All cats/kittens must have all claws clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition.
Household pets are eligible only for awards in the Household Pet Class. Household pets are to be judged separately from all other cats, solely on beauty and condition. Wild cats or wild cat-domestic hybrid crosses are not eligible for entry. All Household Pets eight (8) months of age or older must be neutered or spayed.
Check in on Saturday will be from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Judging will start promptly at 10 am Saturday and 9 am Sunday. Advertised show hours for both days is 10:00 am to 4:00 pm All entries, including For Sale and Exhibition Only, must be submitted on an official CFA entry form, and accompanied by the correct entry fee. Make all checks payable to Sunkat Feline Fanciers in US funds. A call or email from the entry clerk will be made to clarify any questions on your entry. A returned check fee of $30 will be assessed for any returned check.
Each entry is entitled to a single cage of 21" x 21" x 21". A double cage space is 21"x45"x21". Cages require coverings on at least three sides and the top. You may want to bring a cover for the bottom of the cage as well.
Litter will be supplied, please bring your own litter pans as well as your cat’s food and water dishes. People food is available from the snack bar in the show hall.
*Show rule 2.19E: The miscellaneous class is for any registered cat or registered kitten of a breed not accepted for Provisional Breed competition. See TRN Rules for Bengals.
Portland International Airport is two hours away and there will be additional traffic on the highway due to the season. Please make any flight arrangements with this in mind.
